专利说明:

a long gun, to a barrel of the handgun, with a ball joint arranged between the buttstock and a front part part firmly connected to the barrel, which has a first joint part that is fixedly connected to the front part or buttstock and a pivotable part that is pivotably connected to the other of the buttstock or front part has the second hinge part, the first hinge part and the second hinge part being connected to one another by means of a fixing device in order to be pivotable and rotatable relative to one another in a released state of the fixing device and to be fixed against one another in their set positions in a fixed state of the fixing device, and the Fixing device has at least one fixing element for releasing and fixing the fixing device.
Adjustment devices of this type allow the alignment of a front part of the firearm in relation to a butt stock of the firearm to the needs of a shooter and thus facilitate the handling of the firearm, both when aiming at a target and during the subsequent firing. In connection with this invention, the front part is to be understood as the part of the firearm which is not fixed to the buttstock or does not belong to the buttstock and which comprises the barrel or is firmly connected to the barrel. Adjustment devices with a ball joint offer particularly diverse adjustment options for aligning the barrel relative to the
Buttstock.
US 2,631,398 discloses a hunting rifle, the butt stock of which is adjustable relative to the line of sight of the hunting rifle. For this purpose, a rod which passes through the buttstock and connects it to a grip part can be pivoted about a pivot point of the grip part by means of a ball joint. At the end facing the butt stock, the grip part has a convex spherical surface on which a correspondingly shaped front face of a disc rests, which is received on the rod between the grip part and the butt stock. To the
2/14
To fix the rod in the desired position with respect to the handle part, a nut and a lock nut are screwed onto a threaded part of the rod, which press the washer against the handle part with a corresponding screw connection.
In an alternative construction, the rod runs through a conical hole in the buttstock and is firmly connected to the handle part. The rod has a spherical extension in the region of its end facing the handle part and is connected at the opposite end to an eccentric block which is rotatably arranged around the rod in the buttstock. The buttstock is adjusted by turning the eccentric block and fixed in the set position with a screw.
The rod for aligning the buttstock runs disadvantageously through the buttstock of the hunting rifle relative to the line of sight of the hunting rifle, so that this construction is only suitable for firearms with a corresponding receiving space for the rod in the buttstock.
It is an object of the invention to provide an adjusting device as stated at the outset which avoids or at least reduces the disadvantages of the prior art. The setting device should also be suitable for firearms which do not provide a receiving space for a rod penetrating the butt stock or other adjustment and / or fixing means which penetrates the butt stock. This applies in particular to firearms with recoil-damping devices in their butt stock or also to technical devices for adapting the firearm. In addition, the adjustment device should be suitable for firearms, the butt stock of which is permanently connected to the front part or can only be detached from the front part with great difficulty. In particular, the setting device should be easy to use and should be inexpensive and reliable.
This object is achieved by a device according to claim 1. Advantageous designs and further developments are specified in the dependent claims.
3/14
The invention is characterized in that the first joint part has a spherical, in particular spherical, joint head which is mounted in a corresponding recess in the second joint part and the fixing device has a clamping part which likewise has a recess for receiving the spherical joint head at least in sections, wherein the joint head is clamped in the fixed state via the at least one fixing element between the second joint part and the clamping part. The handgun, especially the long gun, for example a hunting rifle, has a butt stock and a front part connected to it. The butt stock is provided in the use position of the firearm for abutment against the shoulder of a shooter and the front part is generally connected directly to a barrel of the firearm. In order to be able to align the rear stock, in particular a longitudinal axis of the rear sheep, with the front part, in particular with a longitudinal axis of the front part, a ball joint is arranged between the rear stock and the front part. The ball joint has a first and a second joint part, the first joint part being connected in a positionally fixed manner to the front part or the buttstock, while the second joint part is pivotably and positionally connected to the other of the front part or buttstock in relation to the first joint part. Here, a positionally fixed connection is understood in particular to mean a connection which cannot be pivoted. The first joint part and the second joint part are connected to one another by means of a fixing device, which is designed to be transferable at least between a released state and a fixed state. The fixing device is designed to allow pivoting of the first joint part in relation to the second joint part in the released state and to prevent pivoting of the first joint part in relation to the second joint part in the fixed state, that is to say to fix the two joint parts against one another in their set positions . For loosening and fixing the fixing device, i.e. for transferring the fixing device between the released state and the fixed state, it has at least one fixing element.
With regard to the pivoting and fixing of the buttstock in relation to the front part, the ball joint is designed to be particularly reliable and stable in that the first joint part unites
4/14 spherical, in particular spherical, joint head, which is mounted in a corresponding recess of the second joint part. The depression of the second joint part is advantageously designed for the planar and slidable contact of a part of the joint head thereon. In order to be able to fix the joint head and the recess of the second joint part to one another in a positionally fixed manner, the fixing device has a clamping part, which likewise has a recess for receiving the spherical joint head at least in sections. In the fixed state of the fixing device, the joint head is clamped in a fixed position between the second joint part and the clamping part by means of the at least one fixing element.
The ball joint thus enables a pivoting of the
Longitudinal axis of the buttstock in relation to the longitudinal axis of the front part in two spatial dimensions and in a large angular range of, for example, between 0 ° and 45 °, preferably between 0 ° and 30 °, more preferably between 0 ° and 15 °, and a rotation about its own axis 360 °. The ball-and-socket joint and the fixing device are robust and inexpensive and enable the set positions of the butt stock and front part to be reliably maintained even during use of the firearm. It is particularly important that the adjusting device has no components that extend far into the buttstock or through the buttstock. Accordingly, the setting device can also be used for firearms, the butt stock of which is unsuitable, in particular at the rear end, for accommodating components of the setting device, or the butt stock of which is to be modified only as little as possible.
The terms "rear and" front used in this disclosure refer to the use position of the firearm. Accordingly, the term in the back means a position close to the gunner firing the weapon, while the term in front describes a position near a muzzle of the firearm. Likewise, the terms "top," bottom, "left and" right are to be understood in the use position of the firearm or viewed from the point of view of the gunner firing the gun.
5/14
According to a preferred embodiment of the invention it is provided that at least one screw, preferably four screws, is or are provided as the fixing element. Thus, the at least one screw serves to selectively loosen and fix the fixing device, i.e. to transfer the fixing device between the released state and the fixed state. The at least one screw can be designed with a screw head that is suitable for engagement by a suitable tool. The screw head is particularly preferred for a tool-free actuation of the screw, i.e. actuation by means of the shooter's fingers. Instead of the screw head, the screw can be provided with a wheel that can be turned by hand or with at least one wing projecting from the screw. If a plurality of screws arranged in a conveniently distributed manner are provided, the fixing device can be prevented from jamming when the fixing device is fixed, and the force required to tighten each screw can be reduced due to the force distribution to the plurality of screws.
In order to be able to release and fix the fixing device in a particularly simple and reliable manner, it can be provided that the second joint part with the spherical recess and / or the clamping part has at least one threaded bore and / or a preferably stepped through opening. The threaded bore and / or through opening is provided for receiving the fixing element. Thus, a screw can be screwed into the threaded bore and / or through-opening or another pulling element can be introduced in order to force the second joint part and the clamping part against one another and thereby press the first joint part into position against the second joint part. If the through opening is designed in a stepped manner, the head of a screw can be countersunk in the second joint part or in the clamping part, as a result of which injuries to the shooter which could occur on a protruding fixing element are avoided.
If an access opening for accessing the threaded bore and / or through opening provided for receiving the fixing element is arranged on a surface of the clamping part or the second joint part facing away from the butt stock, the fixing element can advantageously be from the front, from the side, from above
6/14 or from below on the firearm and regardless of the shape of the butt stock. No modification of the butt stock is therefore required to access the fixing element. The access opening can in particular be designed as an extension of the threaded bore and / or through opening in order to be able to engage, for example, with a tool in the fixing element through the access opening.
For the pivoting or alignment of the buttstock in relation to the front part of the firearm, it is particularly advantageous if the joint head is arranged in a rear section of the front part, in particular in a grip section. In this way, essentially the entire front part can be pivoted in the same direction with respect to the butt stock. In addition, the rear section of the front part, in particular the handle section, generally offers sufficient space for the arrangement of the joint head.
For the pivoting or alignment of the buttstock with respect to the front part of the firearm, it is also advantageous if the joint head is arranged in front of a front end face of the buttstock facing the front part. In this way, the fulcrum of the adjusting device lies outside the butt stock, so that no complex changes are required to accommodate the joint head therein.
To fasten the ball-and-socket joint to the firearm, it can be provided that the joint head is connected to the butt stock with a mounting rod protruding therefrom. This means that only one opening is required in the buttstock to accommodate the mounting rod. The joint head and the butt stock can be releasably or permanently connected to one another. For example, the mounting rod and the opening in the butt stock can have a thread for screwing the mounting rod into the opening. In addition, the distance of the joint head and thus the pivot point of the adjusting device can be expediently determined by means of the length of the section of the mounting rod projecting from the front end face of the rear stock. The mounting rod also has the advantage that it allows a large swivel angle of the ball joint.
7/14
It is also favorable if the joint part is connected to the recess for receiving the joint head with the front part. In particular, the joint part with the recess, i.e. the second joint part can be arranged in a rear section of the front part, in particular in a handle section. The front part, in particular its rear section or the grip section, generally offers sufficient space for at least partially receiving the second joint part. Of course, the second joint part can also be mounted on an outer surface of the front part.
In order to be able to clamp the joint head easily and reliably between the second joint part and the clamping part, it can be provided that the clamping part has a through opening for receiving the mounting rod. Thus, the clamping part is arranged around the mounting rod and can rest on the side of the joint head facing the rear shaft / front part, while the second joint part lies on the side of the joint head facing the front part / rear shaft. The through opening is advantageously arranged in the center of the clamping part in order to exert the force of the clamping part symmetrically on the joint head when fixing the fixing device.
The invention is explained in more detail below on the basis of preferred exemplary embodiments, to which, however, it should not be restricted. The drawings show:
Figure 1 is a side view of a handgun with a front part and a rear stock only partially shown, with an adjusting device according to the invention.
FIG. 2 shows the side view of the handgun from FIG. 1 in a longitudinal section; and
3 shows a detailed view of the adjusting device from FIG. 1.
Fig. 1 shows a rear part of a handgun H, in particular a long gun, for example a hunting rifle, with an adjusting device 1, a butt stock 2, which for

System is provided on the shoulder of a shooter, not shown, and with a front part shown only partially
3. The front part 3 comprises a fore-end 3a and a barrel 4, the barrel 4 on the upper side of the fore-end 3a and a trigger 5 on the underside of the fore-end 3a only being indicated by broken lines. In addition, the front part 3 has a rear section 6, in particular a grip section 6a, which is arranged opposite to an opening (not shown) of the barrel 4. According to the exemplary embodiment shown, the butt stock 2 can be formed with a recoil-damping device R, which is arranged in particular in a middle and rear section 7 of the butt stock 2. The recoil-damping device R is designed to transmit the recoil of the handgun H, which occurs as a result of a firing shot, in a damped manner to a shoulder rest S which is intended to rest on the shoulder of the shooter. The recoil-damping device R itself is not part of the invention and is shown in the exemplary embodiment shown as an expedient example for components which occupy a large part of the volume of the butt stock 2. To adjust the orientation of the buttstock 2 to the barrel 4 or to the front part 3 of the handgun H, a ball joint 8 is arranged between the buttstock 2 and the front part 3. The ball joint 8 in particular enables an angle between a longitudinal axis L2 of the
Butt stock 2 and a longitudinal axis L3 of the front part 3 in two spatial dimensions, i.e. up, down, left and right.
The ball joint 8 has a first joint part 9 which is fixedly connected to the butt stock 2 and a second joint part 10 which can be pivoted to the front part 3 and which is pivotally connected. The two joint parts 9, 10 are thus pivotable relative to one another and rotatably supported about their own axis. In an equivalent embodiment, not shown, the ball joint 8 could have a first joint part 9 which is fixedly connected to the front part 3 and a second joint part 10 which is pivotably connected to the rear shaft 2, for which case the following explanations can be easily made by a person skilled in the art illustrated embodiment to the equivalent,
9/14 embodiment not shown can be transferred.
The first joint part 9 and the second joint part 10 are connected to one another by means of a fixing device 11. By means of the fixing device 11, the two joint parts 9, 10 can be pivoted relative to one another in a released state of the fixing device 11 and are fixed against one another in their set positions in a fixed state of the fixing device 11. In order to be able to release and fix the fixing device 11, the fixing device 11 has at least one fixing element 12.
FIG. 2 shows a side view of a longitudinal section through the handgun H and FIG. 3 shows the adjusting device 1 from FIG. 2, in longitudinal section, on an enlarged scale. It can be seen here that the first joint part 9 has a spherical, in particular spherical, joint head 13 which is mounted in a corresponding recess 14 in the second joint part 10. In order to be able to fix the two joint parts 9, 10 to one another in the set position or orientation, the fixing device 11 has a clamping part 15, which likewise has a recess 16 for receiving the spherical joint head 13 at least in sections. The joint head 13 can thus be firmly clamped between the second joint part 10 and the clamping part 15 by means of the at least one fixing element 12 in the fixed state of the fixing device 11. In contrast, in the released state of the fixing device 11, the joint head 13 and the second joint part 10 can be pivoted with respect to one another.
The fixing element 12 for loosening and fixing the fixing device 11 can be at least one screw 17, in the present example two or four screws 17. To receive the fixing element 12, in particular screws 17, the second joint part 10 and / or the clamping part 15 can have at least one threaded bore 18 and / or a through opening 19, which is preferably provided with a step 20 for receiving a screw head 17a. By means of the fixing element 12 which is received in the threaded bore 18 and / or through opening 19, the second joint part 10 and the clamping part 15 can thus be forced against each other in order to interpose the
10/14
Clamp joint head 13.
To access the threaded bore 18 and / or through opening 19, for example to access a screw head 17a, an access opening 25 can be arranged on a surface F of the clamping part 15 or the second joint part 10 facing away from the rear shaft 2. The surface F facing away from the buttstock 2 can preferably be understood to mean that surface or area which has a normal thereon, which in all adjustable orientations between the buttstock 2 and the front part 3 and in a direction away from the clamping part 15 or does not cut the butt stock 2 from the second joint part 10. In the illustrated exemplary embodiments, the access opening 25 is provided on the front side 21 of the second joint part 10.
For an appropriate alignment of the buttstock 2 to the front part 3, it is advantageous if the joint head 13 is arranged in the rear section 6 of the front part 3, in particular in the grip section 6a, and in front of a front end face 22 of the buttstock 2 facing the front part 3. For example, the joint head 13 can be connected to the butt stock 2 with a mounting rod 23 projecting therefrom and the second joint part 10 with the recess 14 for receiving the joint head 13 can be connected to the front part 2 or integrated therein. The clamping part 15 is advantageously provided with a through opening 24 for receiving the mounting rod 23, i.e. the clamping part 15 is pushed onto the mounting rod 23.
The adjusting device 1 thus enables a reliable alignment and fixing of the buttstock 2 with respect to the front part 3, by means of a ball joint 8 and a fixing device 11, for which purpose only one fastening device, for example a hole for receiving a mounting rod 23, on the buttstock 2 for connection to the Ball joint 8 is to be provided. The adjusting device 1 advantageously has no components that penetrate the buttstock 2.
